Back to School...back to small group studies too!
Well, as soon as the kids climb back on the school bus for another year of learning, us women head back to the small group meetings at church. I love it! This week we launched the new Tuesday morning and Wednesday night studies. Four class options in the morning, and two at night. It is so cool to watch the Lord bring new friends into the group, and continue to grow long time participants in His Word. There's something so very special about sharing lives and spiritual growth!
The study I'm teaching on Wednesday night is on 1,2,3 John - and I'm trying a new thing with the ladies, and providing a blog to go with it - at www.womenofzion.wordpress.com - if you want to join us online, feel free to read along with the passages, and join in the conversation! I'll post the breakout of passages/weekly assignments in the next day or two. I'm excited about the possibilities.
Last night we had an amazing kick-off program for the Women of Zion. Never heard me talk about that ministry before? It's our women's ministry effort at Mount Zion Baptist Church - my home church. Take a look at our website at www.womenofzion.net. God has allowed me to work along side some amazing women of God there at MZBC. I wouldn't trade it for the world! He has blessed my family with this sweet church family.
Anyhow, the monthly program series we're doing is the "Top 10 Keys to Greater Living" and this month, Charity and Charlotte shared about "Priorities" - both giving a powerful testimony on the importance of keeping God first in our lives. Boy, do we all find that to be a life long challenge! Next month our topic will be on "fellowship" - ahh, the sweet, sweet joy of meeting with our friends and family...should be a fun one!
Have a great week,
